I have been a professional photographer in Cincinnati, OH,  for 20 + years. This website - Talkington Photo Video  - is the forum for my 2009 Photo a Day project, a chance to get away from the commercial world and just take photographs for fun. The goal is to have 365 new images by year's end and, hopefully, to have learned a thing or two a long the way.

Pro Photo Life - this website is filled with instructional text and videos for photographers. Though it is not currently being updated, there are nearly 300 posts and over 30 videos available.

Daylight Photo - the commercial photography studio I co-own and operate in Cincinnati.

Equipment

At the photo studio we primarily use Canon equipment and for most of my career I was a Nikon shooter. But for this blog I've wanted to do something different. Right now I'm carrying around the following for my fun photography:

Olympus 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 kit lens
Olympus 40-150mm f3.5-4.5 lens

Panasonic DMC-TZ3 point and shoot

I'm also a big believer in using Adobe Lightroom 2.0 for editing and processing my personal work.
